He also holds a Master’s in Development studies( MADS) from Kabale University, a Diploma in Legal Practice, specialized in legal drafting, contract drafting, land and labour laws from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD).
Before joining Rwanda Bar Association as an Advicate, he worked in different positions such as Mayor, Vice Mayor FED, E/S of Sectors, Itorero ry’Igihugu Coordinator at District level,etc.

Additionally, He is a certifiedmediator in Civil,Labour and commercial litigations, a Consultant in different domains, and a Lecturer of law at Unilak.
At Isonga Lawfirm, he deals with Civil, Labour, and commercial litigations, as well as the Managing Partner of Isonga Law Firm LLP.

He also holds a postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD). In his free time, he gives lectures at different high learning institutions in Rwanda and overseas. At Isonga Law Firm LLP, Adv. Dr. Jacques Kabano deals with criminal litigations and human rights violations issues. Additionally, in collaboration with Isonga’s Research and Consultancy department, he plays a vital role in topics concerning his field of study.

Holds a bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) obtained from the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali (UNILAK) and has Post Graduate Diploma from the Institute of Legal Practice Development (ILPD) in Legal Practice.

He is a practicing Lawyer admitted to the Rwanda Bar Association and East African Law Society with experience in providing Legal Aid Services, Legal Advisory, Legal Drafting, Legal Trainings, Legal Assistance, Legal Representation, Legal Negotiations and Legal Consultancies.

He participated in two researches: “Towards just and effective Expropriation practice in Rwanda.”January 2022 (This research project was about to assess how expropriating entities compliance with expropriation laws, policies, procedures, and practices.) and “The use of ICT tools and its role in accessing Legal Aid Services in Rwanda” October 2022 (This one was about assessing the impact of using ICT tools to provide Legal Aid services especially how they were used to access justice during COVID-19 times).
